Spring into Action 2023: New Chapters, Healthy Starts will feature two of CrossOver's programs in particular: OB and pediatrics. Both of these programs have grown substantially over the past year and are key parts of our effort to support healthy futures for our clients in every stage of life. Dr. Danielle Avula, CrossOver's associate medical director, works closely with both of these programs and will share with us how CrossOver's work reduces health disparities and improves health outcomes.
Spring into Action assembles women from across Richmond to celebrate compassionate healthcare for our Richmond-area neighbors—and women in particular. Over 65% of CrossOver’s patients are women, and in many households, women make healthcare decisions for their families. When women are healthy, families, neighborhoods and communities are healthy.
The Spring into Action women's breakfast is free of charge, and all attendees will have the opportunity to make a donation at the end of the event. Men are also welcome to attend.

Danielle Avula, MD
Associate Medical Director
Danielle Avula, MD, associate medical director, is a family practice physician. At CrossOver, she provides direct patient care, supervises other clinicians and champions our OB and pediatrics programs. Dr. Avula treats both pediatrics and adult patients for primary care, as well as pregnant women in CrossOver’s OB program. Dr. Avula received her medical degree from VCU School of Medicine and completed residency training at the VCU-Chesterfield Family Practice Residency Program. She has been practicing medicine for over 10 years. She loves helping patients increase their personal health literacy and understand the power of preventive care. When not at CrossOver, she loves to read and bake, especially for her four children.
